That will be good

For all the newcomers and first timers Doug Chapple from QR will make himself available for a detailed 'track tour' at 7.30am, meet near the Contrrol Tower. No doubt Doug will give you a call over the microphone when ready

This is very detailed and he explains lines etc at every corner, all to assist you in having a fun safe day

NO CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE

Thanks Doug :)

For those of us that enjoy a coffee after each track day at the BP Northbound Burpengary, there will have to be a slight change of plan - basically the place was severly damaged by fire around 4.30am Monday morning - destroyed KFC, badly damaged McDonalds & the Coolibah Cafe and buckled the main roof - I was told this morning it could take 3 months for repairs dependent on whether they have to do a major demolition

Anyway, current plan would be continue past the damaged centre then next off-ramp off at Buchanan's Road and head back south into the BP Southbound centre and then for those headed north, loop back at Uhlmann's Road - just a slight detour for a great coffee and after-meet catch-up

Time to start pointlessly speculating about the weather - checked a couple of places around, looks like a reasonable chance of showers on the Monday, with the weekend prior showing a sunny weekend until around mid-Sunday when the clouds move in and rain overnight.

Of course, it's some time out, so fingers crossed.

It won't rain it never does, drought declared at Narangba and almost the same at my place - storms pass but no rain to speak of :(

Partly cloudy morning, cloudy afternoon, temps between 20 to 24. Seem to have reasonably stable period once the rains finish up on the preceding Sunday. Sounds ideal!

It's fairly accurate Craig - you forgot Kurwongbah!!

Not looking the best here right now, coming from the south towards the city with some heavy showers so mudflaps and floaties on the mower to do the park

Weather looks like it's going to be utterly perfect - fair to partly cloudy, low 20's, light breezes. Hope everyone's got everything sorted - checked with my two work colleagues who are going and they're all set. Going to be a great day!

I would like rain to test out some wet tyres, but I think I will be in the minority for this wish... Plus the wet tyres are not really road legal so I would need my other half to trailer the car for me and she is not car friendly at the moment.

I'd be interested in trying Lakeside in the wet again now I've got a few more track days under my belt, but I'd really like a chance to build on what I learned at the Mid-Week Sprints event back in October.
