Mid November ND 1.5GT manual Soul Red, black leather
Original customer has changed colour and is now having to wait until Feb for his Blue Reflex (he wouldn't take our 1,000kms demonstrator). His gain, your loss if you want the spec in the title. PM me for more info.
The demo might also be available mid-November.

UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

I would never buy any demo car over a new for a few dollars less they are thrashed form day one by the dealer and tyre kickers and never had a chance to "run in "
Would you buy someone else's ex demo girlfriend, that's been around or a fresh one

And some people will only buy a demo. Each to their own, I say.

Just because it has been used by somebody else does not imply it is no longer useful, maybe they just did not 'fit' that model.
When I purchased the Amarok, not only was it a 'used demo' but I also received the company I worked for fleet discount all up a very nice saving!
PS there are a few other words that could have been used for 'buy someone else's ex demo girlfriend'... Yes my partner is a 'used demo' as well

While I agree with you on demos Lizard (not in a pink fit), I think your having a go at Dave unfairly.
Some people (I know a couple) see modern quality and warranty will cover any possible issues from a demo and see the saving as worth while. Particularly when the vehicle is financed and pull the principal down on the loan can make a decent difference.

Don't think he's having a go at me, more so at his perception of car dealers generally, and/or at some car buyers?
Hope you have a great day though, Lizard and thanks for the bump.
By the way, the car in the title is brand new and unused and due to arrive 6 November. The blue demo one has done 1,000kms, all on the road. Never seen the track. Available immediately.

I worked across the road from a prestige new car dealer for many years and the amount of NEW cars around our area with trade plates been thrashed to death i mean valve bounced through the gears thrashed .This made up my mind never to buy demo. I once went to pick up a new car that happened to have 25k on it I told them to shove it dealer said anything under 100k was normal FFS its a new car 5k max unless its been used as a demo as most stealers do

I understand your point but it is certainly not true of all cars.
I bought a Subaru Forester in 1997 with 1500 demo km's on it. I kept the car for just over 10 years, did 220'000km's and sold it for $7k. The car no major faults and only wear and tear servicing. Was probably the best car, value for money I have owned.
I have heard of worse cars with only delivery km's on the clock.

Another thing to look out for when buying a DEMO is you maybe up for stamp duty on transfer which nullifies the the so called $1000 saving
The dealer just happens to forget to tell you that

Happy to explain demonstrator write-down allowances if you'd like to understand them.
We have no demos that have been on the track.
Do you know me? Have we met at all?
