I know they are expensive, but you can't buy a better short shifter than the Miataroadster kit.

The group buy is now open too - so get in quick.

I just installed my Miataroadster shirt shifter. All I can see is that I am very very impressed with build quality and performance. It adds another fun element to driving an already amazing car.
Although the factory shift feel isn't too bad, and by no means is a high quality short shifter required for these cars (don't get the cheaper ones, you really do get what you pay for in this case), but if you happen to have a bunch of cash that you want to splash on your car, spend it on the Miataroadster kit.

Hmmmm might save some money and go with something more expensive than the cube speed then.

i have the cube shifter and love it.

was about to pull the trigger on a miataroadster shifter but it came in @ close to $500 with the exchange rate then (i think its over $500 now).

I didn't think it was worth it.

I got the cube shifter for about $110.

Installation is straight forward, build quality is nice and the shift is precise. Thankfully all of my shift boots were in tact and didnt need replacing. Thats a big plus for the MR kits in that it comes with a whole bunch of replacement oem stuff.

I also bought an extender which i prefer over the standard height of the cube shifter (same height as stock). it keeps the hands closer to the wheel and makes getting into 5th easier when you shift fast (its a little testy / scary fast shifting into 5th on the standard height)

overall im happy with the purchase and would do so again. I have had a short shifter in every car i've owned, but paying $500 for one seemed a little far fetched for me. As good as the MR wouldve been, i dont think its $400 better.

How long have you had it installed for? I ask with durability in mind.
