What do you guys think is causing the oil to be pushed out of the engine so much? Surely its not just from "Power"...?
Does it change/get worse when cornering?

Good questions, some more testing next week on what and how much the influence of boost and vacuum

Yup, even a weedy one will keep up with a V8 Cobra on the straights at Winton. Those things are quite wide to get past in the corners too.

300km blap in the country, plenty of good roads, plenty of wet conditions and plenty of hp between us.
We had an STI but he went home with a noisy front end...
A straight road duel with the Carerra S showed that the little mazda is quick at low to medium silly speeds; no doubt the Porsche has the longer legs and top end speed...but round 1 to the mx5.
A few things came in the mail lately, first off was the Garage Star door jam things...
Downside is the door takes a more conscious push to get it to lock in closed BUT the upside is that most of the cars rattle and shake over rough ground is gone!!! Quiet and solid feeling now over fast terrain. Happy.
Next thing to arrive is this:
Thanks Davekmoore! It goes off the spray shop for a special colour to be applied.
Also as the spray shop is this item...
It needs some small repairs and color matching but should look very similar to this... Something different, I like it.

Mixed open road driving 3/4, 1/4 short local trips.
392k from 40.2 L @ $1.05L ($42.61 tank)
9.75 L/100
which makes it 10c for 1k of smiles... bargain huh
Love e85 now more than ever, 20% more power, smells fruity, cheaper per litre and still better economy than my family car...

I love the smell of E85 in the morning....
My E85 consumption figures were about 1 ltr per lap of Eastern Creek On the road I get about 250km on a tank so your numbers are very good.

Yep that's the good juice, however I am sold on the ease and price of either united e80-85 or the eflex e70-80 products, just so easy as a daily driver.
...c'mon what the price per L???

200l Drum is $500 delivered to my work. Handy for me as I'm very time poor.
If you factor in the hassle to drive to a united for E85 and the nearest one to Cronulla is 40mins away.
I do have a Caltex that is only about 20 mins away but still a pain in the arse.
$2.50/litre is a friggin rip off but the good far outweighs the bad.

...which is why I use water-methanol injection. Runs on 98 most of the time, and when I want the extra kW I just flick a little switch. If I run out of the water-meth mix, I just use distilled water.

Some progress today with help from Master Ron and Keith out at Pack Racing HQ...
List of jobs to do was to tap catch can to 3/8 and run a 5/8hose to T into the turbo drain hose, and back into the sump.
Then fit the whiteline 24/16mm swaybars.
Rears comparo to std.
Fronts
The sway bar mounting frame was beefed up to reduce flex...
On the drive home car feels even more planted and sits flatter through corners during turn in. Good.
Catch can draining to sump, good.
Various old hoses replaced before failure, good.
Survived being a passenger during 2 "have a turn driving Ian's car" runs, good.
Home without a ticket, good.
