*!* FANTABULOUS DAY *!*
Thank you very very very much to Magpie and Mrs. Magpie for making this yet another proper, fun filled day out.
Here are just a few pikachus
Gladiator's left-hoof shod with Irish safety footwear
King of Dodgy award goes to justmx5 for having his SE delicately balanced on 1 wheel/tyre (left-rear) and 1 jack stand (right-front) for about 30 seconds....

Top Day! Highly recommend attending these events to anyone who has a chance.
Thank you very much to Mark, Tess and family for their amazing hospitality.
And thanks to every one of the "Dodgy Boys/Dodgy Dozen" for all the help, advice and encouragement. Truly appreciated chaps.
Everything on my list got done, either by someone getting stuck straight into it or by pointing me in the right direction.
I'm already a calmer person for no longer having to listen to that seat belt alarm. Thanks Terry.
Even my appalling spanner skills weren't met with too much laughter Thanks Andrew for pushing me to 'get involved'.
Took the long way home, over Tamborine Mountain so got to test out the headlight. No more headaches!
If anyone could write up an understandable description of tightening those bumpers/stops to get rid of the pop up headlight wobble I'm sure someone else out there would appreciate it.
Final thanks to Pete for inviting me into the ITB dipstick crew. Cheers mate!
Looking forward to catching up with you all again soon.

Many thanks as well to Lillie and Kelvin for cooking. Plus Lillie's home grown cherry tomatoes perfect with chicken wings.
Have a post dodgy day job to do sometime this year, a full corner weight/coilover set up. Plus the next dodgy day was discussed, stay tuned!

Awesome day, good to see everyone and do the dodgy things.
My dodgy contribution was teaming up with Pezchops to bolt steampunk's JDMtite extiguisher somewhere inaccessible.
My car got a buff in between Mark giving advice to Terry... or was it Terry giving advice to Mark.... perhaps it was just a mutual admiration of each others advice giving skills
A collection of cars at the end of the day more dodgy than when they arrived.

Yep fun day and my thanks to Tess and Magpie for holding it, and Lilly for looking after us.
So between little person minder and big person adviser I had some fun and
believe it or not drank some coffee!!!!
Advise given, some jobs done and some showing how to do it (remembering that a dodgy day is about "you" doing the job)
and making a new little "mate" and meeting some new Big mates.
I probably overdid it but a few Endone cures that and Magpie, I can walk today, not enjoying it but!!!!
So thanks to everyone, and bring on the next one, as I will have Scooter there.
Terry

So no one went nuts and did some dirt circle work? Then get a dodgy de-dusting wash...

That dirt track belongs to the 8 YO and his quad bike skills.

Suitably inspired and with a couple of Bathurst beers under my belt I tackled two more jobs today.
Succesfully got my drivers side windscreen washer working. Thought it was a blocked hose but brought the wrong diameter yesterday. Turns out it was a blocked connector. Not sure why this one has a ball bearing valve in it but the whole thing was clogged up. Took a fair bit of work to clear and I ended up replacing the tubing anyway for good measure.
Managed to remove the last two stubborn eye vents too. The centre pair came out fairly easily yesterday with the strip of plastic (blister pack) wriggled down each side at 9 and 3 o'clock.
Drivers side popped out first tug with the bent coat hanger today. Passenger side was way harder. The grips came off my long nose pliers way before any movement in the vent.
Finally got it with a combination of strips of plastic and bent coathanger but it sounded like the whole dash exploded!
Will clean them up tonight and add new pads during the dull bits of F1. ;)

So you should get heaps of work done then
The ball bearing in the windscreen washer y-pipe acts as a one-way valve to prevent dirt from clogging the system.
The "fish/fishing" analogy is one of my favourite sayings and one which, unfortunately, not all understand or appreciate it's meaning.
