Yes, it was a credit card payment in May. I'm in Melb at present, but will visit the dealership next week when I return to Bris. If no joy, then a nice chat with Mazda Australia might be in order. Credit card provider will be the last resort I guess. I visited a rellie at Dromana last week, so was close to your dealership. Thanks for the (ongoing) support.

Anything extra you buy from the dealer is usually done at half the price by subcontractors.
Electronic rust treatment is a proven myth.
Just get the credit card charge reversed. No point talking to the dealer. He probably doesn't even know he has your money.

Does your dealership sell "rust prevention", "paint protection" or "fabric - proof" interiors?

So Mazda Australia have organised a whole 40 ND 2Ls split over 2 trims. 2 transmissions and 5 or so colours to last until late Feb early March next year. I call BS.

Cars nowadays have most panels made of galvanised steel. On top of that they have special rust proofing done at the factory. Most cars have at least 7 years anti perforation warranty. Paint on cars nowadays is also extremely tough. Bird droppings and goop from trees should not affect it. The same goes for seat fabrics. Fabrics undergo very rigorous testing to ensure that common contaminants can be easily washed or wiped off. So anything that dealers try to sell you is snake oil

Visited the dealership on Tuesday. Signed a form, and the money was just refunded to my account today. All good (but didn't enjoy the cranky conversation with the Dealer Principal). Will I get my ND serviced there or drive across town ?

Drive across town for sure!! I wouldn't even think twice. As bad as that is, it's not worth putting the trust back in to service your car.

Hmmmm, have now just been told that I won't receive my car till JAN/FEB now. I ordered it almost 2 months ago!! I was told originally Nov/Dec, I just called another dealership in Brisbane area & they have one in the specs I want arriving Dec or mid Nov if I want different colour.....Not happy Jan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop hopping from dealer to dealer. They're only 'estimated' delivery dates. Just keep calling and chasing your current dealer.

What colour do you want, and what colour is available ? My dealer says the first 2.0 litre MX5's are due for a November manufacture and a December delivery, but the data is only general. No actual dates set yet. Hoping my red/tan leather will come off the line in that group. They said that firmer dates may be available next week. I ordered mine 5 months ago (but the dealer lost my details). Ordered again at second dealer just 1 month ago, but got put in with the (small) first group. Might still end up with a 2016 model if my colour isn'n in the first batch.
