If you have placed another order elsewhere perhaps you don't take your business back to a dealer that does not seem to be doing a good job. If you don't get an acceptable result with the dealer then take it up with Head office.
No reply to the Email I sent on Wednesday last week. Left a message yesterday to ring me back. No calls. I am interstate at present, so can't drop in. Must be a problem with their phones and Email accounts.... Just sent another Email.

Re: How much did you pay for your ND MX5?
Anyone know when the 2016 orders open? For example, Jan '26 build. Or do dealers order a certain months out, like 3 months out? I am wondering for those who requested a '16 build car, when can we expect to hear a confirmation.
Thanks
Thanks

I am surprised people still fall for dealer tricks like paint protection, fabric protection and rust protection. All these are a complete ripoff.

Well, my 17 year old Prado goes to Fraser Island every year, and had electronic rust protection installed when it was 2 years old. It has some full-depth scratches through the paint (putting on or removing heavy roof racks and basket by myself). It gets visible sand hosed off on my return, but no other treatment. It remains rust-free.

The paint protection & interior protection that you pay for is more for the repair that they'll get the bat/bird droppings, fallout, stains inside etc etc out with. I paid $1,000 for the paint protection & leather + the roof sprayed with a treatment made for rag tops that the water beads off easier. I've had 3-4 new cars over the last few years & have never wanted to talk to "the after market lady" but this is a special car which I'll hopefully keep for quite some time so i thought it was worth the investment....That's my 2cents anyways

I ring my forward order customers once every week even if there's no change to their order progress, just to keep them informed. Each customer folder contains a copy of the factory order for the car so I can check on progress. It isn't difficult to do and is the least you should expect from your dealer. If this is the second dealer you mentioned, after cancelling your order with the first, then maybe you need to speak to the DP to have him instruct the salesperson to give you a copy of the order confirmation from the factory and contact you every week. If they won't do that, I will, and can arrange freight Australia wide.

Yes. ACA Choice did a survey on this years ago and concluded cars with aftermarket rust protection actually rusted faster.

Dave, the second dealer is communicating with me and keeping me updated. The first dealer has not refunded my deposit, and is not responding to calls or Emails.

Was your deposit by credit card? If so, talk to credit card provider.

Who said that? Was that 40 pre-orders or not assigned vehicles?
I'm assuming mine will be an October Build, my dealership says Dec but all other reports are Nov del.
