Any idea why whatever LED bulb I put in the third brake light refuses to work (2003 NB)? The standard bulb works fine. I replace with it a LED version and none of them work? I'm baffled as to why this would be the case unless there is something I don;t know.
I've replaced my rear indicators with LED bulbs and a LED corrected relay that works fine, but have no idea why the third light is not working?
And does this extend to the other main brake and sidelights/tail too?
Thanks
Andy

Tried reversing the polarity of the wires?

Sounds like you're not getting a decent contact between the new globe and the socket. Try cleaning the new contacts with an electronics cleaner and polishing up the old contacts in the globe holder. I don't know if it's a bayonet style plug in the NB or not. If it is then check the length on the bulb from the locating pins to the bottom of the contact - it may be too short, especially if the contact plate in the globe holder doesn't move up and down freely.

FYI - Flipping the bulb won't work for polarity because of the socket design (bayonet style if I remember correctly), you'd have to swap + and - wires to test polarity.

That makes sense and it had not occurred to me but thanks for pointing it out. Need to have a look at this closer and see what I can find...
