Hi Guys,
not sure if this should go here or in the Electronics section...
I'm having issues with my passenger central locking (04 NB SE)... it will unlock but not lock. funny thing is the other key fob doesn't unlock it but I've found it can be a little random too but when it does work it only unlocks the door.
I suspect it's the actuator.. which is quite a pricey item I've since found it :/
I have read somewhere that it could also be due to the bars that actually move when the central locking is activated...
anyone have any suggestions that I could try to fix it? Could it just be key programming? I'm going to take the door panel off and have a look when I get time in the hope it's something silly stopping it from working correctly...
also would any NB left door actuator work in it's place if I were to replace it?
thanks in advance for any help
Brad

Re: NB SE lock issue
Any differences between attempting to lock/unlock via fob, key and door switches?

Re: NB SE lock issue
Will the door lock and unlock using the switch on the inside door handle?
That will rule out the remote if it still doesn't lock (which I suspect is the case)
If so then remove the door cards, theres 2x screws in the large pull handle and one in the door latch. then a few poppers on the end. whole thing lifts straight up. Press the remote lock and unlock button and listen for clicks to see if the actuator is actually working. If not then replace the actuator. Any from an NB will work.
If it is working, the small slip in bars that attach the actuator to the lock has probably slipped out. Shouldn't be too hard to reattach but can be a pain.
Watch out for the black door cover goop

Re: NB SE lock issue
Ive had another look
Main keys.
Both unlock on button
Can lock door with key on passenger side
Lock from drivers side and passenger side stays unlocked
Spare set unlocks and locks both. Then wont unlock passenger side. But you can see it i guess flinching when you try to lock
