Arriving Hobart on the 1st.
Anything considered from NA to ND (fat chance).

Actually I like Tasmania and it has some fantastic MX5 roads. Unfortunately SWMBO mistakenly booked us flights and planned to rent a tin top instead of the plan I expected which was to take the MX5 on the ferry.

Tried here?
Thanks for the link. But just about managed to force their website to provide a quote and they seem to want me to buy the car outright!
Ideally what I need is someone who has a "spare" older but good MX5 and who might also want to exchange the use of my old but good Pulsator when they're next in Melbourne (I can't offer the use of my MX5, sadly, as it's a bit too specialised now to get insurance for anyone other than myself).

Pity they have a 24hr minimum. I'd be very happy to pay $12 for an hour in a 987 Boxster...

SWMBO now says she's not sure of packing everything in an MX5 boot. Would probably not have been a problem if we'd packed our own MX5 at home and got the ferry
.
Tempted to go with an SV6. At least it's RWD.
Any other recommendations?

That's a shame, that company use to be Apple Isle Car Hire and they had a na, nb and a nc at very reasonable rates.
