Thanks JBT. I like the lighter colour tan but I am sure some would prefer the colour in the brochure. It is a shame that this is another case of no truth in advertising.

It shows 258f/255r for the 1.5 and 280f/280r for the 2.0
Thanks for that. I'll seek confirmation from Mazda Australia.

How the colour looks in this post on my computer is a pretty good rendition of real life. Possibly consider carefully if you were going for a GT in white or ceramic as the insides of the door tops will be body colour next to the door "card".

Hello,
Has anyone here ordered the 2.0 roadster? Have you heard from your dealer when you are expecting build and delivery?
Cheers
Adam

^ Good review, 3 seconds faster on a 1:30 track is a good margin faster!
Keen to see how much faster the 2L ND is once the stock suspension is taken out of the equation and they both have coilovers, Sways and R Specs on them.

Re: How many people r going to buy the new model ND
From that video, since when did the NC MX5 have 124kw(167hp) ?
I thought the new 2.0 ND had 118kw same as the old one, just more torque 200 vs 188?

I didn't think it had that much power but I googled it and Mazda USA are saying it has that much power.
Maybe they upped it in 2015?

AFAIK if you order now you'll get a car towrds the end of 2015.
Present interest levels suggest that for each week you leave it the lead time will increase by about 2 weeks.

Re: How many people r going to buy the new model ND
Still it is interesting to see the number that are currently available on CarSales in NSW.Either the take up there hasn't been great or a few dealers are putting cars out there as"bait' to generate enquiries.
Notice in todays local that Paul Gover has had a second drive and while he still loves the 1.5 is not as sure about its lugging ability on long hills and seems to be hedging his bet.I think for $2500 or so the 2ltr is going to be a good buy.
Peter.

Notice, though, how few are pics of new cars actually available as opposed to demos or library caricatures of examples of cars that eould be available to order.

Re: How many people r going to buy the new model ND
Hi Peter,
I concur with Paul, we attended a drive day at Ballarat Mazda last weekend (Big thanks to Joel and the team) and pulling up the long low climb of the Ballarat-Creswick Road hill left me feeling the same way although the auto appeared a lot happier.
I am looking forward to the 2.0-litre engine as well.
Greg.

When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Re: How many people r going to buy the new model ND
Hi Greg,I just think the 1.5 is so way over geared.I loved the way it revved out but you can really only do that in 1,2,3 the rest are just too high.I think a 1.5 with a 3.3,3.5 or so diff given that 6th is 1:1 would be a sensational drive but high 40klph per 1000 rpm in top as it is now is just too much
Wonderful opportunity stuffed up IMHO.NC with a 4.1 ratio is looking more attractive and affordable.
