So negative... So they don't suit your taste... Lucky they're not your LM's on your ND I guess...

And I think you'll find it's stock ride height, not "raised" ride height

I think it visually looks higher due to the ~5cm of flat side on the wheelarches (which apparently brings not insignificant aero gains, hence why most cars have them these days)

I have a feeling that this car will look and sound a lot different by the end of August. Looks great in black Danny, especially with those wheels.

Awesome! I highly recommend you get to a dealer and take one for a spin.

Cheers,

congratulations. I think you have purchased a really nice looking car. the more I look at it the more I see early 70's corvette styling. I've also read the 1.5 is the better balanced and handler of the two motors.
further down the track if I get ever sick of my SE and not to mention that crappy Z3 in the garage I might just cash both and add some greens and buy one of these.
great car and the best mx5 to date! wow that looks good!

Yeah, I know I'm gonna get a slamming here, but here I go.

I wasn't impressed with the grey gunmetal wheels , so I had the dealer swap them for a set of silver ones. That is so funny, as someone turning up to buy a base unit will get the GT wheels...anyway, I digress. I scoured the forums a while ago and noted that a lot of manufacturers were shadowing their wheels. I'd heard of it and when I had some damage repaired on a rim on my ealier NC, the guy doing the repair told me more about it.
So, when I ordered the ND, I got a hold of one of their promo shots and did the photoshop on it. I loved it.

After I picked my car up last week, I rang around to get the job done, but came up empty handed. Nobody wanted the job, so I decided to do it myself.
I didn't realise it would be such a complex operation, as the paint is a two part process and needs to be done properly to match the original paint.
Paint and materials cost me about $100, but I think I would have been up for a lot more than that, getting it done at a shop.

I've done 3 of the 4 wheels, I'll have the fourth done tomorrow and then I'll take her up the mountain for some vanity pics.

It's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but then modding is very personal.

Frank

Ummm - errrr - I LIKE IT!!

It's YOUR car and you do what YOU want to do, not what others say - saw a black late model Falcon out the front of work yesterday and he had the same done as you have!

Now, just instal the nodding dog at the back window please

I'd like to see it at Breakfast/Happy Laps at Lakeside 30 August - no need to drive fast

Like the tan interior. Wonder how long before they do it with red stitching?

Yeah, I've already heard people asking about different coloured stitching on the seats and dash.

I'd love to see red, as well!
