Hey guys,
I just want to clarify some stuff about wheel size and all that when upgrading my NA brakes to NB.
I'm currently running 14 inch Watanabe wheels and looking to upgrade my brakes to NB sometime in future and I'm not sure if they will fit and will require me to get 15 inch wheels.
Also, what are the major differences while driving 14 inch vs 15 inch wheels?
Could someone help me out on this please?
Thank you

Re: Wheel Size for upgrading to NB brakes
Which NB?
NB8A brakes fit under 14s.
I've got an NB8A and have a set of NA6 daisys that I occationally use without a problem

Re: Wheel Size for upgrading to NB brakes
test fit them on an nb first though.
Diameter they fit, but some wheels have odd spoke shapes on the inside which can clip the caliper.
the NA6 daisys don't, but I know some of the jap ones like SSR do, not sure about the wats. (They should be fine though, i've seen them on other cars)

Re: Wheel Size for upgrading to NB brakes
A basic rule of thumb is the following:
NA6 brakes will fit inside 13 inch wheels (I use 13 inch steelies!)
NA8 / NB brakes will fit in 14 inch wheels
NB SE brakes need 15 inch wheels
NA6 brakes will fit inside 13 inch wheels (I use 13 inch steelies!)
NA8 / NB brakes will fit in 14 inch wheels
NB SE brakes need 15 inch wheels

actually, that's not 100% accurate.
NA6 brakes should fit inside 13 inch wheels
NA8 / NB8A brakes should fit in 14 inch wheels
NB8B/NB SE brakes should fit 15 inch wheels (but not all)

A rule of thumb is somewhat inaccurate. If it was 100% accurate it would just be a rule.

No. I am saying you were correct, but that your message was redundant.
