Reading the recently received schedule.. it lists 2 Qualification sessions and 2 sprint races.. then the enduro.
I thought we where doing 3 sprints? On Saturday

Yes you are right Cam, was supposed to be 3 sprints on Saturday, has always been part of our agreement with Wakefield.
Due to a change in personnel at Wakefield a week ago this commitment was overlooked. As an offset we have the warmup session Sunday morning which we was not part of the original arrangement.

Re: THE 2015 MX-5 NATIONALS !
A few pointers ahead of the weekend.
There will be an MX5 Nationals briefing, in addition to the general drivers briefing Saturday morning. I would suggest your crew / car controller come along too if they have any questions. Time and place will be announced in the general briefing.
Points are earned by the team, whether it consists of 1 driver or two.
1 driver teams can do all sessions, including driver A and B quali sessions.
We are using a progressive grid. It is consistent with the MX5 Cup regs, it will be different for people familiar with Prod Sports. The best time for the 2 quali sessions will be used to grid up for the first race, and finishing positions from there through to the Enduro will determine starting positions for the next race.
The regs for the Nationals – published months ago - are the same for this weekend as have been used successfully for the last 2 years of MX5 Cup racing. The only exception being for the Enduro, as there are no CPSs in MX5 Cup sprint races.
There are speed sensors in pit lane, the speed limit is 40kmh. You WILL be penalised by the stewards if you exceed this.
We were to be given 2 qualis, 3 races, and the Enduro. However we have 2 qualis 2 races and an additional warmup on Sunday, and the 1 hour. Same number of track sessions, slightly different configuration.
Finally – we have booked sunshine for the weekend. However it will be very cold early on! Bring your woollies, and be prepared for variable grip in the early sessions.
If you haven’t already rsvp’d but wish to attend dinner, please let us know asap.
We have 32 entered. Look forward to seeing you all on the weekend.
Finally, thanks in advance to our sponsors: Audio-Technica Meguiars Blue Mountains Mazda

Re: THE 2015 MX-5 NATIONALS !
Sounds great, I have been buzzing all week looking forward to this.
Shame about the third sprint getting canned but there is still a heap of track time to be had.
Great work securing Meguiars as event sponsor also, quality product for a quality field ;)

Amazing weekend of racing , best quality and quantity mx5 field ever assembled in aus proved for great racing up and down the field. Disappointed with second but very happy with lap time of a 105.3 and also a Deckspeed car wining outright well done Luke Otten
I think that makes the NC the quickest non turbo mx5 in aus

Re: THE 2015 MX-5 NATIONALS !
Have to agree with that, a very strong field and some storming times recorded.
Well done to ALL competitors, who braved the early cold and some variable conditions, put on their game face and competed. The field was a real mix of some seasoned campaigners along with more recent entrants into MX5 racing. At the front of the grid there were some exceptionally fast cars, Nick Cancian setting the quickest time of the weekend of 1.04.1, but full credit to Todd Herring not far behind who was very fast all weekend. Over the weekend though Luke Otten proved to be the well deserved winner, very fast, and consistent.
Now for the results:
The 2015 MX5 Nationals results:
Nationals Champion - Luke Otten
2nd Daniel Deckers
3rd Todd Herring
Class Winners:
A Todd Herring
B Luke Otten
C Daniel Reynolds
D Kerry Finn
E Cameron Hallam
Special thanks to the Queenslanders, and their supporters, family and pit crew who also made the trek down. The weekend was extremely good spirited, and everyone contributed to the fun had on and off the track.
Thanks once again to our sponsors:
Audio Technica,
Meguiars,
Blue Mountains Mazda,
Wakefield Park, and
Mecure Hotels.
See you all again next year!

Re: THE 2015 MX-5 NATIONALS !
Thanks for a great weekend guys, really enjoyed it. Setting a new pb was the icing on the cake for me. Finally got into the 9s!!!
Was very surprised to finish the enduro, after stuffing up my refueling and developing a weird vibration in the latter stages of the big one.
My car actually ran out of fuel on the trailer! Was a close call!
Great event guys!
