Try searching "door wedge" rather than bushing ...

One here is US$9.21 each: OEM Door Wedge

I replaced mine a couple months back, got them through Amayama for about $6 each or something like that.

I ordered these Garagestar door bushings earlier, it'll try them out when they arrive and report back. My door bushings were replaced not long ago, so it'll be interested to see how they perform against a new bushing.

It will be interesting to see the results.

In the past, when my wife has mentioned rattles or squeaks in the car, I've told her it's always going to be worse than a normal car, just watch the tops of the doors to the door frame and watch how much they move!!

Even in my SE, despite it's low mileage and some lesser body stresses than normal due to the hard top virtually never being taken off until I owned it, the doors still bounce up and down over many bumps. I've tried adjusting that wedge on both my previous 5's (not the SE to date) and although it makes a slight difference, the gap in it's width to the metal door fitting plus the flexibility of the rubber, still allows movement.

Got out for a run up the freeway and a lap of Coot-tha - this actually worked way better than it had any right to. My thing is probably pretty loose, but yeah, this pretty much shut up all of the noises related to the doors and windows rattling around.

So, if you're looking for an immediate NVH improvement for your slightly loose roadster for piss all money, this is totally worth it.

The downside is I can all hear all the mechanical noises now....:)

Interesting feedback Vat.

From what I've read, delrin is a pretty durable product, so should last and hold it's shape better than the stock rubber bushings ... just waiting for mrpham to get back with some details now

Cheers. I'm going to experiment with a few different materials - I have some handlebar tape that was doing emergency steering wheel cover duties that I'll cut up and stick on. Should have the right squishiness to get wedged into the space and cushion the door.

Wow, just realised how ghetto my car is...

Installed mine earlier today, they have definitely reduced the noises inside the cabin. I'll post up a detailed review once I have some more time with them.

Hey man.

Unfortunately, the guys at Garage Star are currently attending the Formula Drift event in the US, so I won't have a quote until they get back.

Greetings all. I just installed a set of Garage Star Delrin Door bushes today. And yes, they make a big difference. My passenger door rattled badly beforehand. Now it is fine.

I undid the original bush with a socket, but needed a large Phillips head screwdriver to install as the M10 socket will not fit inside the Delrin housing.

To align, simply do them up finger tight, and open/shut your door 5 or so times. Then tighten. Open/shut each door again to check final fit and then screw them down hard.

Job only took 5 minutes per side.

I was told to retighten after 100km or so.

Hope that helps. Cheers.

Thanks for the review!

I'm still holding off for John to update with local costs...
