CAREFUL/Burglar!! RooF Slasher Inner West Sydney 20/7/15

Roof got slash tonight at 7.30pm 20/7/15 at Lidcombe.
Saw 5 middle eastern appearance male teens or early 20s, tall skinny all wearing hoodies and dark clothing.
Slash my roof, stole my sun glasses and try to steal gear knob and steering wheel.

Please be aware and keep your eye out if your street parking your soft top in the inner west area.

Please pm me on advise on how to temporally patch up the top as i wont' be able to afford a new roof.

So you immediately assume that they were middle eastern men because that were tall and skinny with hoodies?

I walk out to my car about to go to do my grocery shopping for the week and i "saw" 4 middle eastern appearance men around my car and one inside the passenger seat, they all ran away they all ran away like little rats.
There was a street light near the vehicle.

Not been racist or stating accusation, but this is exactly what i saw.

In addition i didn't state they were middle eastern, i just said they were middle eastern in appearance.

Sorry, I should have said these worthless, oxygen thieving, lowlife, scumbags, regardless of race, religion or colour should have been put down at birth. Lucky for the OP they ran like rats and didn't knife him too. Better?

I'm sure the OP could do with a laugh rather than dwell on an expensive and dismal experience. A photo of the damage might be helpful to allow people to suggest repair options.

I actually get annoyed when the news DOESN'T report "the appearance" of offenders for fear of offending/alienating one group or another.

eg. There was a string of rapes in Sydney several years ago around train stations committed by a gang of youths from the Middle-East (Lebanon?). Initially the media didn't report this until several were arrested and convicted. IMO, this was valuable information for female commuters since they would have been extra cautious about being approached by them and the public would have kept a closer eye on them.

We should be able to state what we witness without getting accused of racism, especially if it's relevant information.

Hoodies should be outlawed. They tried that during the London Riots, but I don't think it's legal.

No aladdin It was the disability dole cheque one drooped as he ran away the other had sandals and $10000 gold chain the other was wearing a dress so he just guessed that possibility they were Norwegian's was ruled out. :lol:

Thanks ZL for the warning. These are definitely some Sydney suburbs that are not on my holiday list.

In the meantime, use some ducktape on the inside to hold the slashed roof together. Should last a while.
