Just enclose that entire area outside the garage all the way to the roof, so you can walk out on the balcony and step into your SE while it's up on the hoist. :mrgreen:

(A coat of glossy paint will make a world of difference to that garage)

Unfortunately Lisa thinks we need to move the rest of our stuff from storage first

It has a nasty little dip and rise to transition from the road
Need angle and dead slow on both cars not to rip off front lips
Anyone know a concretor near Bayside?
I might just have a go myself and widen and level it a bit with concrete over the existing slab ?

Minx better off getting a large steel plate anchored at the inside face of the gutter. A plate would allow water to travel under it and allow a decent transition.

Without seeing the site it would appear that you would have to use a very small agregate mix or use a grout mix or rip up the driveway to allow a decent transition. Getting concrete to bond to the existing concrete could be an issue and give you trouble (cracking/lifting) in the future. I suspect that a steel plate would be a cheaper and quicker fix. If you need some grip on the steel plate just weld some beads on, it is good welding practice anyway.

I really don't want a steel plate
I already have one to entrance to the garage- which I want to fix as it bangs and crashes when going over
The previous residents had 4wds and have dug out channels either side of the driveway where they missed the concrete
So I thought I could use premix to widen and taper the entry
Worst case scenario is later having to dig it up and get it done properly
Maybe adding bond Crete to help it stick
