I just moved all my cars from Shannons to Famous.
Absolutely fed up with their service and claims handling

That's interesting ...

I was looking at moving my SE from SGIC (NRMA) to Shannons due to a better quote and higher valuation. However, several people my wife talked to at her work and others that I know, said not to go to Shannons due to the issues they'd had with claims! We've been with SGIC for 15 years and we've never had a problem with any claim. Shannons was willing to value my SE $3500 higher than SGIC for $150 annual premium less, but after all the negative comments from people who'd dealt with Shannons, I decided to stay where I was.

Shannon's are great, I've moved most of my cars over to them, cover all the modifications plus spare parts in the garage to $10k are also covered, pay out very quickly & let me keep the wreck, no good if you are under 25 as premiums extremely expensive
