Last time I was out there was '88 when radar detectors were legal.. :D

Watch out for the Eagles in the morning on the road kill, they can be massive.

Great shots, stay safe.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

OOh! Nostalgia mode on!

I lived in Wentworth a lifetime ago. A mate and I made sand-boards and went out to those dunes. We ate a lot of dirt, and didn't do it ever again. You cannot surf down a sand dune.

I was on a bus that broke down in Renmark once in the middle of summer. It was 49° and very unpleasant.

I'm envious of your trip!

renmark sa to peterborough.

knew it wasn't going to be good driving when I saw this cloud formation - cumulus erectus

Image

half hour later rain

Image

once at the motel in Peterborough we set off another 50 klm to Orroroo to see this huge 500 year old river gum tree

Image

followed by a 10 klm drive along this bloody stony road

Image

which got us here

Image

after following the instructions - turn off the motor -place in neutral -foot off the brake - the car actually runs uphill!

Image

looking in front of the car =downhill!

That hill is fun. An optical illusion though. It's nothing magnetic as I poured a bottle of water on the road and it flowed 'uphill' as well.

Thanks for the lovely images of Sturts desert pea. Sad that people still think that is clever to scroll spray can sh*t all over stuff!
