NA6 alternator alternative

Postby Xaviien » Tue Jun 30, 2015 11:14 am

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know which Ford or other Mazda models have the same alternator as an NA6?

I'm looking for a replacement, but as usual, as cheap as possible.
Once the old one is out I'll probably have a crack at doing a recon myself. I found a tutorial which made it look fairly simple, though it will likely take me most of a day, since I like to go slow rather than screw up.

Thanks in advance,
Josh.

Don't know if it was used in other Mazdas or Fords, but alternator plate numbers in pic here might provide a lead:

Cheers.

I ended up sourcing one from dansav at Southside Jap Imports for $65 delivered, but I'm still fairly sure they would have been used elsewhere. My google-fu just isn't good enough to find out where, so I'd like to keep this discussion open in case anyone has the answers.
