Anyone know categorically the weight of the cosworth supercharger kit. I am trying to calculate a power to weight figure.
Will post up dyno when i get a chance.
Corrected dyno figures 214.6 hp or 160 kw atw, torque 433.6 NM at 8 not 7 psi.
How does it drive, hmm. My old turbo NB would start making mayhem around 3500-4000 . I wud say more 4000 rpm.
The supercharger power just comes on from around 2000 rpm. Love it.

Unless you make peak hp at 3500rpm, your torque figure came off the dyno uncalibrated.

If the underlined were true the power would be 297whp at 4833rpm, ie not calibrated.
You make 234 rwNM at peak power, and with a positive displacement supercharger it's likely that your peak torque is between that and 10% more (260rwNM perhaps).
A good result finally and its fantastic how nice a blower feels isnt it!?

Further reflash today, tho not dyno,ed. Fitted Voodoo gear knob, I like.
Launch control, flat foot shifting setup and auto blipping setup.
Launch control set at 4000 rpm. Basically lots of sideways action 1 st and 2nd gear. Will decrease in 200 rpm increments to see what gives best results. Personally, i think if u can take off without wheel spin launch control isn,t needed.
Flat foot shifting very cool but counter intuitive putting your foot flat to the floor.
Auto blipping will be nice in the mountains.

Jackie suggested I start this thread to document the various features of RaceROM. Perhaps this can serve as a starting point, as I have yet to see an official MX-5 manual from EcuTek.
That said, one of the best resources I have found is this manual for the BRZ/FRS version of RaceROM. That car has slightly different controls and more RaceROM functions, but the general idea is the same. This manual is a good starting point if you are running into issues. It does a good job of explaining what conditions must be met before a certain feature is activated.
Below is what I've found to work on the MX-5 version of RaceROM. Please let me know if you have anything to add. Many features require cruise control (more specifically the accel/decel and cancel buttons on the steering wheel) and I don't know whether alternate methods exist at this point in time.
Switching maps
Ignition must be on and the cruise control light turned off. Hold down the cruise control "cancel" button on the steering wheel for about 1 second. This will put you into map selection mode and your tach will indicate the current map in use (1000 RPM = map #1, 2000 RPM = map #2, etc.). Use the cruise control accel/decel switch on the steering wheel to select the map you want to use. Press "cancel" or wait a few seconds to confirm the selection.
Your tuner can specify up to four different maps. Each map can enable/disable certain RaceROM features and/or can be optimized to a specific octane of fuel. Contact a tuner for more information about what is possible.
Launch Control (manual transmission only)
The engine must be running and the vehicle stationary in neutral. Press the clutch, shift into first gear, and floor the accelerator (it has to be all the way to the floor, which may seem daunting the first time). The engine will rev up to a temporary launch control rev limit. You can adjust this limit in 250 RPM (?) increments using the cruise control accel/decel switch on the steering wheel. The ECU will return to using its normal rev limit when you release the clutch pedal.
Auto Blip (manual transmission only)
This feature will blip your throttle if you press the clutch pedal while braking. Based on these conditions, the ECU assumes you are going to downshift, so it helps you rev match. It is basically performing the throttle blip portion of a heel-toe shift for you. The blip will only occur if your vehicle speed is greater than about 30 mph and it will "timeout" if you have been braking for more than a couple seconds.
Flat Foot Shifting (manual transmission only)
This lets you keep your foot on the accelerator when you shift. I need to experiment with it some more to make an accurate .

I've been reading that thread on Miata.net you quoted from with interest, some cool features and I'm looking forward to hearing how you go with it.
I've also got ECUtek and have been meaning to speak to my tuner about getting the AutoBlip feature enabled to try it out.
Probably needs some testing to dial in the pedal percentage map but I think it would be a good feature if it's tuned right.
Seems like a simple enough map if it's the same on the MX5 (this is the Subaru one) :
