So well organised - great work! Our boot looked worse for only two weeks away without all the camping gear!! ...

Have a great trip!
By the way, that's an awful lot of sugar!

thanks all. now the big question - do you just want to see a few car shots or more interesting travel photos and youtube videos to places of interest on the trip

I'm in for photos of all sorts, whatever you enjoy on your trip, not just the car in front of roadsigns and landmarks. You're going to an area most of us haven't so it'll be cool to see what you come across along the way.
I personally probably wouldn't watch Youtube clips though, if I'm honest.

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
later on how about check out a couple of the video clips and see if I can lure you all in with something of interest. as for photography I plan not to load up a heap of rubbish shots so I think the photography side should be good once I hit the right locations
there may be the odd feathered bird shot as that what this top end trip is really about but I will throw in a mixed bag of everything and anything of interest to keep you all interested in following the trip.
all I have to do now is find something of interest!

I'll be following your journey (not actually following your car, although my MX5 has been a fair way off road before) with interest!

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
well so far its been no picnic! first off I had this back problem for weeks and was wondering if I was going to go at all. didn't even head out on Saturday and it wasn't till 1pm sunday I said to the wife =lets go.
headed out west to forbes nsw and had the very first chance tin 4 years of ownership with the mx5 to legally cruise at the 110kph limit. first night stayed at west Wyalong and tonight arrived at balranald.
internet Wi-Fi in both motels is complete crap and almost impossible to get any info out. tomorrow a trip to Telstra to get the telsta 4g mobile Wi-Fi. so will see how that goes.

lake behind a roadside rest stop between Balranald and Mildura

saw this rosella as I passed under the tree. first bird photo for the trip

arrived in Mildura around noon - no shortage of orages here

river appeared in good health but no time to try a bit of fishing

drove the twenty extra klm out to redcliffs to take these three photos

sunset over Mildura Victoria

Nice sunset ...
Been up around Mildura a few times and never been out around the Red Cliffs area. Must take a look next time.
