Hi guys, need some help here.
I am driving a 1992 NA6 and recently I have been hearing this squealing sound during the drive around. It only occurs when the car is moving and it does not matter whether the clutch is engaged or not.
Could it be the bearings? Any ideas and possible solutions?
Cheers

Loose fan belt?
But more information needed. Where does the sound come from. Front, rear, gearbox? Under acceleration? Under braking?

Re: Squealing Sound
The sound is from the back of the car. It occurs as long as the car is moving regardless whether whether accelerating or braking.

Re: Squealing Sound
It's usually either the wear squealers or a small stone jammed between the brake rotor and its backing shield. Wear squealers are steel tabs mounted on the brake pads that drag against the rotors once the pads wear down to minimum depth.
Take the wheel off and check thickness of the pads. If they are not very worn then poke around between the shield and the rotor with a thin screwdriver to see if you can find a stone and dislodge it. It doesn't matter if you bend the shield a little bit, just bend it back into place when you've finished so that none of it drags against the rotor.

Re: Squealing Sound
Had this coming from the front - turned out to be a small stone - once removed all good again.
