Might get more interest if this was on the events tab of the website or the forward calendar. As somebody who hasn't been to one of these before I would also love to see the event details that normally get posted to the website.

Thank you, I couldn't find that forward program anywhere and wasn't sure if pricing etc would be the same. That answers my questions :)

More competition in the Modified NB group is always a plus. Assuming you are/will be a club member. The only class with more entrants is NA6M. The FI class is larger too, but the cars vary in such a huge way that it's not really a competition. John rocks up with a supercharged 2.5L NC and runs against bog stock SE's etc and just destroys everybody else in the field lol.

Trackphotos wrote:11 entries so far on the online system for this round. I'm curious about it only showing 45 positions maximum for the event, it's not unheard of for Lakeside club days to be over 45 drivers.

The fact is that the Lakeside ceiling is normally 60 (4 groups of 15 cars)...and even more if we were in the happy position of having that many starters. We had 53 entries for the NatMeet 2014 track day (plus another 40 or so in the DTA for the funkhana) and there was no drama at all.

I actually meant that I hope it doesn't become a problem for late entries. If we fill the 45 and it stops taking entries, people who leave it to the day before the event might not be able to enter. The online entry system has had its little quirks before, it would be a shame if some latecomers went to enter, saw it was capped, and gave up without contacting qr to confirm there were no spots left.

I think it moves from that when the payment is allocated - mine did that last meet and all ended OK

See you there

Hello Drivers,

I just wanted to clarify a few things regarding the QR entry system.

QR sets up the on-line entry for each event, and gathers the information necessary to collate and publish results to Natsoft, and to me. This of benefit to both QR and MX5CQ. We have opted to handle the entry fees outside of QR's system.

As the Competition Secretary, I am appointed the "Category Manager" for MX5CQ Trackdays held at QR or Lakeside. As such I review prospective entries and mark them "Approved" or "Declined" as required. Generally, your entry will remain "Pending" until I have sighted your entry fee in the Club's Bank Statement, at which time I will change the Entry Status it to "Approved". I tend to look at the Bank Statement only every few days, so there may be a delay on your entry status change.

And that is the sum total of what I can do with QR's entry system. If you make a mistake e.g. do not nominate preferred Car number, there is NOTHING I can do other than cancel the entry. Some have discovered you can make a second entry... usually I can spot the intent and cancel one entry, but it still reserves 2 entries of the 45 available. I would prefer that you contact QR to have a change made, or just make arrangements with QR on the day.

I can and will increase the upper limit for entry numbers, but I note that we haven't hit 45 for a few events now.

If you have any particular questions about how the event runs, please feel free to contact me directly. BTW the Motorsports pages have been refreshed tonight.

Only 3 weeks now!

Paid entry fee last week, got CTP today, filled out the Indemnity from and scanned/emailed to Adam [Comp Sec] today!

NB in for pre-track service tomorrow so all organised - I think!

In for surgery Thursday so fingers crossed I will be healed in time - oh well, only have to do one lap to keep my record intact [not missed a track day since I started in Sept 2010

Hey roger, you won't be alone under the knife... I'm having a wisdom tooth done a few days prior! Maybe I should reschedule the track day. What? No? Ok. Maybe I'll reschedule the dentist.

I have to run with this one Adam. just right hand, right forearm and right tricep, they say 'drive down, in at 8.40am and then drive home!!' Just so long as I look the other way when it's being done :(

All good, I'm so used to it now

Out at Lakeside today to watch the old fellas from GEAR running around.
Some great cars and noise.
Spoke to Doug, he said he promises the same weather for our track day. :-)
