Just thought i'd share 3 mods i've done fairly recently to my 2006 NC MX5 PRHT
1) Whiteline sway bars front and rear - medium/suggested settings
2) Eibach Pro Kit springs front and rear
3) Goodwin Racing RoadsterSport II muffler
Results:
The car handles much better, although not what i would call astonishingly so, plus it's hard to compare before and after
What does impress is the lowering of the car by about 3cms... it now looks MUCH better from all angles

As for the new muffler, i LOVE it!!! And out of the 3 mods mentioned this is the one that's given me the most pleasure

The car now has a throaty, yet not over the top burble, plus it throws up little pops on deceleration!!!

I will admit it took me a few days to get used to the extra noise, although after that you get used to it and it's VERY addictive

Costs:
About $600 including labour for the sway bars and springs
About $700 for the muffler excluding labour as it's a simple 2 bolt off/on install that i did in my driveway
HOWEVER... i was lucky enough to find the muffler on eBay for $100!!! Used but in great condition
At last, some karma came back to me!!!

So in closing, i'd definitely suggest all 3 mods especially if you like driving as i do... around town and on twisty country roads

And if your budget doesn't allow all 3 mods at once?
I'd go for the muffler upgrade first, and then do the others ASAP when finances allow
Because eventually, your MX5 will handle better, look better and sound a LOT better
