If the other mx5's in my series are anything to go by you will struggle to be competitive in an NA/B in 2f against NC's, gt86's and clios :-S

I read the 2F rules as suspension is free.

I'd like to think I'll be fairly competitive at this event. It requires lots of commitment over the top of the hill as there are a few blind corners over crests and tight off cambered bends. I was a only a second off winning the class last year when I ran the event in my 1.6... I now have nearly double the power so I should drop a few seconds in the first section which is a long drag up the hill. Of course it all depends on who rocks up for the Nationals...

Just to update this post... the nationals this year will be run under the current CAMS Speed Event Series classings rather than the CAMS classings. This means competitors don't need a log booked 2F car to compete in Production Sports category.

I already know a few of the local cars in the class, GT86, Hondas etc and I should be able to beat them all on this hillclimb. The question will be who else rocks up for the event.

Your Honda Intake would put you out of 2F anyway :)

Yes it would... If I was running in 2F through I'd put the stock intake back on. Good news is that I can run an aftermarket intake in the Speed Event Series production class which means I'll have that extra power to conquer the Lotuses.
