Engine oil capacity NBA 2000
Hi Folks, can someone tell me how much engine oil to put in a 2000 model NBA icluding filter? Thanks in advance. S

Do you have the manual? it's in there under the capacities section.
The easier way is to buy a 5 litre bottle of oil, and during the oilchange pour in half, wait a minute or so and check the dipstick, keep adding a little until it's at the full mark (note: from the Low mark to the FUll mark is approx 1l)
from a 5 litre bottle you should have some spare (I can't remember how much, something like 1200ml or whatever)
Keep that spare oil and every 3rd oil change you'll have enough to do a full change.

Look on the Penrite website http://www.datateck.com.au/Lube/PenriteAus/. It will give you the recommended oil and the fill quantity.

My mechanic has ok'd the use of a fully synthetic 10w40 engine oil. Does everyone agree?

10w40 is fine.
Full or Semi Synth is fine too.
The manual has a chart of all the acceptable oil viscousities and their relevant temperature ranges.
10-40 covers the temp ranges for pretty much all of Australia.

Thanks guys for the prompt reply. Just finished removing the oil filter. What a bitchin difficult dang thing it is to get to and remove. Skinned my knuckles and shreeded my wrist. Hooley Dooley!@#$%. So want to pinch whoever changed the oil on this thing befor I bought it. Put it on way too tight.
