Although the problem with offset is now resolved, still got the issue of height. On a 1"lowered kings, this car sits too low but on a stock spring, it sits too high up. This is after I swapped the stock struts with Bilsteins. Took the car to pedders, the guy had no idea why. Asked me to give him the Bilsteins so he can send them for correct measurement test. He recken they're not for NA even though I bought them off a forum member who had it on his NA6.

Any suggestions? What should be the gap size between the guard and tread for NA8 with 15"?

The bilsteins may be from an NB.

NA and NB shocks are interchangable, and fit both, however fitting NB shocks to an NA causes the NA to sit higher than it normally would.

From memory this is to do with the spring perch on the shock being of a slightly different design, and likely slightly different in position.

NB springs are only marginally different in free length to NA springs from memory (I have both in the garage so can go look if it matters)
NB springs have a step in the spring end, and use a stepped spring seat.
NA springs the bottom coil is flattened off, and they use a flat spring seat.

Makes a lota sense. So I might have the NB Bilsteins and chances are the previous forum member didn't know he had the NB bilsteins on his NA. So to fix this, do I have to change to NA struts or use NB springs?

XXR 513 don't exist in 15x7.5? Only come in 15x7 +15 or 15x8 +0 according to their website.

Looks to me like you've got a pair each of 15x7 +15 and 15x8 +0.

I'd start by looking on the inside of each wheel for stamped markings and run from there.

You should be good to use the NB shocks.

From memory a lowered spring (give or take an inch) on an NB shock brings it down to about the height of a standard NA

So if you wanted it lowered more than a stock NA you'd probably need a much lower spring.

I'd wait for some more responses though, since I havent dealt with the NA/NB swap stuff in ages.

Yes, you're spot on. Marking is SR513 15X7JJ, front ET1/5, rear ET/0. I had the wheels installed back to front and that was the original problem.

Currently problem is the height on stock spring and Bilsteins shocks.

Cheers

I prob just want it to even look normal stock height but at the moment its sitting too high.vif I put the 3cm lowered king springs, it drops too low. I might have to lower it only half an inch of even possible.

Just because the car is too low on the Billies does not automatically mean they must be NB Billies.

You can tell NA and NB assemblies apart by the springs and perches. NA's have flat perches and the springs are flattened on the ends. NBs have an angled perch to fit the spring which is not flattened on the ends. Are your two sets the same in this regard? Clarify this then you know what you're dealing with.

Half the reason your car may seem too low on them is because your wheels have so much poke they'll rub no matter what.
