NC Oil and Filter Change

Greetings All,

Mazda engineers have advised that oil/filter change can now wait 12 months or 20K - which ever comes first.
Is this sound advice?

12months or 10,000km, whichever comes first. Not 20K.

Just do what the owner's manual says.

Personally, I go off the distance only (ie: 10,000km for my car)

But the owners manual is different as they were printed before Mazda big service schedule upheaval.

I think the first manuals to be correct were series 2 CX5s books last year.

Ah, I didnt know that the NC had a misprinted booklet.

In that case i'd still say 10,000 or 15,000km, whatever the later NC said. (I'd go more to 10,000km, since servicing early does no harm)

It is not a misprint. It's just that between the time the booklets were printed and October 2014, they change their service scheduling periods.

Just in case you weren't up to date with Mazda doings and goings. But all Mazda service schedules are 10K/12M no matter the car.
