I am thinking about the next lakeside meeting. One day event. Although the 300 might also be an option.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo after 12 months it finally goes.
Spent 5 hours chasing electrical gremlins, I think I traced every single wire from the ecu to the engine, believe me when I say that trying to do this sh*t with arthritic hands and fingers ain't my idea of fun......
Finally found that the wiring to the purge control had broken "most" of the strands of wire to the connector. Found that little beauty after stripping all of the tape and covers back when wallah!!!!! the white wire come apart in my hand. Thank you very much!!!

Then finally got the motor to fire up it coughed and farted and dumped mega amounts of fuel out the exhaust. ƒü¢k this so I took out the new injectors and refitted the old ones.
Thankfully I had made a complete harness to suit the Bosch injectors and at the same time remade a new harness for Denso injectors, so only needed to change injectors and harness and plug and play the denso back in. When Real Dynos do the new tune I'll fit the Bosch back in and they can tune to suit.

So next weekend Nicole and I will fit the bonnet and take the car for a casual laidback run in the mountains and if you believe that I've got a nice bridge in Sydney for sale Still got to make up a new reroute pipework as I must have stuffed up silver soldering the temp guage fitting as it won't seal so I welded up the hole, so machining a new fitting set up that we can weld in and then screw both fittings to suit. Also made the pipe about 3" too short at the front so will kill 2 birds with one stone.
Ended up refitting the horrible noisy Loch Stewart filter until I can get the car on the hoist at work to make up some new stuff but thats in the future, the new 4 post hoist hasn't arrived yet   Still have the new catch can to go on, but that can wait.

So good to see Scooter being restored.

My old NA had some bits and pieces Steve pulled off Scooter back in the day; 2001 maybe?

Good news, less time at Roger's weekend coffee meets and progress may be better :)

Oh! come on, what's 12 month????

And the coffee on a Saturday was probably the only reason anything has been done these last couple of weeks, many coffee and ""Holy sh*t man, I can fly""

Was worth the wait, wasn't it????

Goes alright, seems to have enough go so I'm happy ATM.
Did another 250kms today and found I have a small oil leak at the cooler, the hottest the oil gets is 80C and coolant 95C so that seems all good.
Corners reckons its alright to drive and I still reckon its too loud but Jaron and SWMBO just say I'm getting old.

It will do another run next week and I'll book it in for a tune.
