Re: Toyota and Mazda Team Up to Make Cars Better
Not surprising given the Mazda2 is basically being rebadged as the new Toyota Yaris.....

Hybrid RX would be cool, and get way better mileage!

Nah, bloody Toyota want the new Mazda ND gearbox since they realise the Aisin 6-speed is a POS

Re: Toyota and Mazda Team Up to Make Cars Better
Now I'm confused!!
I'm heading into the garage now to re-badge the 86 to:
Toyota 86/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 RX/MX/CX/NA/NB/NC/ND - hope the boot is wide enough!
I know!! Toyota MX86!!

Recognise it for what it is. The biggest and probably still the best car maker in the world cooperating with another respected Japanese maker to survive and produce exceptional vehicles. Take a look at many other makers that do deals but probably don't really consistently deliver the goods. Good news I would think. There must have been some significant story behind the Subaru deal as well.

Toyota and Subaru did their homework - a few disagreements that were ironed out and the outcome has been a very successful car - only ONE thing better than owning an 86/BRZ, that's having an MX5 parked beside it/them in the garage!
Any union between Mazda and Toyota will result in awesome cars
