Tell me about it!

I've spent most of the morning running about unblocking storm water drains....
It's still hammering down here in the Shire and I'm up to 300mm+ for the last two days!

I've got a leak from the roof that is running through a wall. Was unable to stay home and am hoping the room is not flooded.

Also constantly worried about the massive council owned gum tree that overhangs my garage and house. Would be less worried if council would come to the party and lop or remove it.

Ah, the joys of civilisation...

Having just recently been though a cyclone we are thinking of all our friends in Northern NSW, particularly when we heard that there were 60,000 homes without power.
Hope that can be quickly restored. We were without power for 7 days and it was the pits.
90% of the problem up here was big trees near houses and powerlines. Nobody wants to do anything about them and when a big blow comes along they take out the powerlines, houses & cars.
The moment the clean-up stopped here, everybody immediately forgot what caused the problems. Next cyclone will take out all the powerlines again. I don't care as I now have a generator.
All the best to those affected.
