One of my mates did exactly this with his magna. Apparently it didn't blow up just "blew alot of smoke." Took 13 litres of oil in the end.

In my dealership days I had to replace an engine in a Lanos because the owner filled it with water till she could see it through the filler cap.
Drove it about 5km until it blew out the cam and crank seals and painted the windscreen with the oil milkshake that it had created...

It was replaced at the dealerships cost, Turns out the salesman had told her while walking her through the car on delivery that everything with a YELLOW cap was to be topped up with water and BLACK cap with the oils listed in the owners manual.

It was the only Lanos I have ever seen with a yellow oil cap... they were black with yellow writing usually but this one was yellow and it was identical to the usual black cap just reversed with black writing instead.
