Mazda Australia have just launched their new website for the ND. They're running a competition with the prize being a new ND and a Queensland holiday for two (with a borrowed ND to drive while you're away).

Terms and Conditions

The draw will be done on 12th August with the winners notified within two days ... which gives a hint about the "on sale" date for the ND.

They describe the model being given away as "1.5L Roadster GT" which hints at the variant naming they'll be going with here.

The value of the car is given as "up to $46,000" including ORCs. Hopefully this is not an indication of what they'll be selling them for, and leaving them with plenty of wiggle room for a much lower starting price.

Roadster GT? Roadster = convertible? GT = hardtop?

If it comes free I will suffer it, hardtop or not.

Prize values are often exaggerated. I guess this one also allows for some extra cost for choice of an auto.

No hardtop, just a trim designation.

I'm guessing this will be the top spec 1.5 with full onroads plus the usual crap (mats, tinting - all that stuff you get done somewhere else at a third of the price of the dealership) included.

Looks like I was way off beam in predicting that they would not bring in a 1500 engine to Au. I think Mazda have got it wrong and I will be surprised if it sells well.
