No need for popcorn.
Also no need to add 'female' in, we are all just car enthusiasts either beginner or experienced it doesn't matter. Apart from eBay ads, who says 'tuner' these days anyway lol.

I thought gender mattered when doing car stuff?
Don't most people hold the spanner with their penis?........... have I been doing it wrong all these years?
as for the intake, it looks good and would probably sound good too.
actually, the whole car looks good, nice choices of tasteful mods.

Re: Emily's 04 VR SE
Exactly, really gets under my skin when people try to segregate.
What's the difference between a male modifying a car and a female modifying a car? Absolutely nothing.
So when I read "A bit of advice for novice female tuners" etc, it really bothers me. Why add the "female" part? Are they saying novice males already know everything?
I certainly don't know everything

I built that and I refute your point with a simple test.

Re: Emily's 04 VR SE
Incase you're new to playing with cars.
Modifying is illegal.
There I said it.
I am very much aware of each decision I make and how it effects the legality of the car. I don't need some cardigan waving his finger tut tutting giving "advice"
It's an exposed pod filter, get over it.
Also, it was quite a temporary mod, I was sussing out how the stock ecu dealt with changing up the intake.
I have a fully enclosed intake now, as I am not a ricer and don't do things for "looks or noise" and try to abide by our arbitrary laws as much as possible so the rest slips by.

Re: Emily's 04 VR SE
Hey look Emily, your stalker is back!
(I wonder how long until Sunstroker gets his second ban and comes back as a third alias?)
I look forward to seeing the rest of the updates (although I already know some of them).
I'm particularly interested in the Haltech Elite install, did you go for the 1500?
I know Wasabi(?) had one installed on his SE by Deckspeed with good results.

Re: Emily's 04 VR SE
Also, SEs are P plate legal now.
It wasn't when I bought it, and it stayed in a lock up garage until my fulls because I respect the law.
I knew I wanted one and it popped up for 8k less than the others because the owner was extremely desperate (fun fact don't finance a car you can't afford)
Bought it with no hesitation and was happy to wait. Not sure how forward thinking and planning is a rookie mistake.

Yeah, I believe his was the first SE they had done so they were developing a base map that is used for all subsequent installs.

Hint hint Haltech Elite ;)
The new Haltech's look good,I'll be keen to hear your opinion and thoughts on them. ease of install and tuning and how they play with the SE 'quirks' that people run into.
I was planning to go intake/ecu etc myself in the new year but that has been pushed back.
Now the new Haltech's are getting sorted for MX5's that's another option again over the usual Adaptronic/Megasquirt when I get around too it.

The haltech were always ok, there were a few loom sent out with 2 pinout back to front. The issue was the installers.
