I've done more reading on this and Miatanet agrees with 93Clubman. It states (here) that both the NA6CE and the R Package have 12mm rear bars. I think it's more likely that the talk on CR is incorrect.

This info comes from a site called PaintScratch.com, sellers of touch-up kits and paint packages that match original factory colors. All that's been done is compiled the paint codes for each year - it's up to you to check your car and see what matches.

You can find your color by simply opening up your driver door and, on the info sticker on the door jamb, looking for a two- or three-digit paint code.

Are there any aftermarket springs that match the factory Bilstein shocks?

In the past most forumites have used Eibach or King springs on the Clubman Bilsteins. From old posts Eibach springs seemed to be preferred on Clubman Bilsteins, but some also preferred King springs. But Espilier springs (from MX5Plus) have also been used, most notably by tbro to great effect:

There may also be other springs available these days.

Maybe the Eibach Mazdaspeed springs would be suitable. We are looking to lower the Clubman and one of my local mechanics insisted that Bilsteins are usually quite sensitive incorrect spring rates and that putting any old lowered spring in the car would ruin the ride.

A former Pres of NSW MX5 Club spoke with the Bilstein importers about the mismatch between the Clubman shock & spring rates, & was advised Mazda reverted to the stock NA6/NA8 spring at the last moment without telling Bilstein. Result was the very firm ride & bounciness over uneven surfaces as the Bilstiens didn't have enough rebound damping. It would be interesting to know what spring Mazda originally planned to use as they may better suit the Clubman Bilstein.

Heasmans in Sydney or Quadrant Suspensions in Melbourne might know, & certainly revalve & rebuild Clubman Bilsteins with very good results.

Bear in mind that Eibach springs, and the Eibach/Mazdaspeed springs weren't the same specs.

My GF's car had regular Eibach springs in it, and a friend's car has the Mazdaspeed Eibachs in it.

Apart from the visual difference (Eibach = black, Mazdaspeed = grey) there was a difference in spring rates (well, by feel anyway)

The regular Eibach springs felt a little firmer to me than the Mazdaspeed ones, but it's hard to say 100% since the cars were each using different shocks.

When I get home i'll try and dig out the old jap magazine I have that lists the rates, pretty sure it lists both the Eibach and Mazdaspeed versions.
If not, I've got a copy of the old Mazdaspeed catalogue, which should list the Mazdaspeed spring specs.

Does anyone know the VIN range for Clubman models? I.e. are they all random or group together for each year?
I was sold a Clubman, but it didnt have any Bilstein sticker or a door jam sticker, and no Bilsteins.
It did have a T1 TorSen, manual steering, no air con/power steering and a Clubman sticker on the boot lid.

I emailed Mazda all my cars details and they were able to confirm I had a Clubman and even some history.

I think the stickers were something individual dealers did or didn't do.
