Re: Bullet superchargers
A thought came to me randomly last night, they haven't fitted an inlet restrictor have they?
That would limit top end boost while giving a big kick in the mid range torque.

It is very torquey over 300 NM.
Hoping to start some tuning next week, so will see how it goes.

300nm measured where, even at the crank that's really not a lot?

Dyno chart is at tuners garage, but from memory 320 plus ATW.
Standard NC around 188-190 NM.

Re: Bullet superchargers
I always thought that wheel torque on a dyno should measure quite high? (somehting about gearing or whatever)
When I dyno'd my old car, a Ford Mondeo, the chart showed wheel torque as something like 400nm
from memory the factory quoted engine torque was 140nm or something.

Re: Bullet superchargers
Maybe you are comparing nm to lb-ft?

nope, all metric.
gear ratios, diff, ratio, and tyre size all add to magnify the torque.
WHeel dynos usually use 4th, which on most cars is close to 1:1 ratio.
Then the diff ratio, which on an NB is anywhere from 4.1:1 to 3.6:1
Then whatever sized wheel/tyre combo.

Yeah as kansei said.
A stock na6 dynos at over 1000NM in 1st gear.

Re: Bullet superchargers
Still sounds really low, unless it's a corrected value?
as I said, my Mondeo Dyno'd around 400 (uncorrected)
I would hope that a stock NC would outdo that, let alone a supercharged one!

Re: Bullet superchargers
It originally had 200NM, now it has 325NM.
The actual numbers don't matter, just the difference.
A 60% improvement in torque sounds about right for 7lbs, but a 14% increase in peak power makes me think that there is something wrong here...
Novice1 - Does it hit 7lbs before redline?

Re: Bullet superchargers
So your mechanic "the best tuner in QLD" couldn't do anything for you?
You might have to head overseas for a good tune. Mike from Moto-east, all I've herd is praise from what he produces

Re: Bullet superchargers
Ron I'm pretty sure Lachlan from ChipTorque can do EcuTeK, he did a great job on my NB.
