Both times I've ordered from them, they have arrived within a week...
Maybe I've just been lucky..

EMISSIONS ROUND 2
Image

FAILED FAILED FAILED.

Much too lean this time
NOx reading 1.36 g/km. Needs to be less than 0.60 g/km.
First test was 0.2 g/km so that was fine.

C0 reading was 0.0 g/km. Needs to be less than 1.0 so way too much fuel came out.
First reading was 25g/km so that was high.
I knew it was lean but c'mon. Leanness increases the NOx

New test April 1st which is somehow appropriate.

Are u being tested against appropriate ADR? Should b applicable one for year of car manufacture, not the current ADR s (which r impossible to pass).
Ask ur Engineer on what he will sign off on (ADR 37?) and get tested for that.

Bruce I don't know about ADR but my engineer wants it emissions passed before he will do the engineering.
There was a mint Falcon GS replica that was before me and he failed as well. Cam was too lumpy. They are getting stricter.
It deserved to fail today it was lean as hell. I called tuner yesterday afternoon and told him it was leaning out and missing above 5000rpm but he couldn't fit me in for a last minute adjustment. Half my fault as well though as Ive been away and didn't check it properly beforehand. I just drove it like I was driving Miss Daisy.

Disappointing though. The guy that checked it was a good guy and knew exactly what we did. He guessed we reduced the fuel by 4% and that made it run hot and increase NOx. If we would have gone half way he thought it probably would have been fine. So we are almost there.
We actually reduced the fuel by 5% so he was pretty close. He also said next time I can bring the tuner and he can fine tune the Haltech if its marginal.

I know, I know. Looking for ID1000's now, but they're not cheap and my budget shot to the bejesus.

Well seeing as you've already shot it, just dispose of the remains and get on with it!

Worth a check about the criteria. It should only need to pass emissions level of the engine or chassis - which ever is newer.

Sparcos will only pass with harnesses. Boltsters foul original belts.

Got some Injectors Bosch 950cc Thanks Suli :D :D
Also had a little package from John at PK. It hurts my eyes.

Unfortunately the E8 doesn't look like its going to be up to the task of running the E85 as will need an additional reader to run efficiently. $700 worth, so thats not going to happen.
So soon to be for sale a really good Haltech E8 with a NB8A loom. Perfect for any MX5 except if you want to run E85.

Hey Richard, Did you require a drive by noise test for the exhaust?
