The glasses were cheap safety type, however I will check with the Spotter's brand when I get home. Sitting at Brisbane airport waiting to go back to work.

Based on your logic the IQ3 could have been made to work with polarised glasses as the display was very clear irrespective of light with the Spotters brand on.

Fuel gauge working. Black line is speed and the blue/green line is the fuel level.
