Yeah I've been worried about the wiring for the fans melting due to the heat.

It's a while away but I may offer you my stock SE cooler and one side of the piping.
Also happy to tack your pipes up to get welded by someone more experienced then me or just get a stock SE pipe from IC to TB, the same as what I'm using.
As crazy as it sounds, I want to see what I can get from the stock cooler before I rip it out and go for a wider unit.
Had to justify the purchase and have a bit of a play with my welder

So the FMIC arrived today thanks to a member on here :-D
I took the bumper off (what a PITA those top nuts are) and found this underneath
I'm assuming it's some sort of support structure for the bumper.
Q: is it necessary ??
Looks like a weight saving of a couple of kg's :-)

Well that is the actual bumper, the bit you took off is only a dress cover as such....
You could remove it but you wouldn't actually have much in the way of front end crash protection anymore.

AS above, that's the actual bumper, the outer bit is just a cover to look pretty.

Haha, now you know why I left mine on there. When I go for a bigger IC I will have no choice. This weekend is out for me but the following weekend I hope to finish my install and start playing with the MS.

So I put the intercooler on.
It all just Bolted up with a bit of patience and a couple of new silicone pieces and clamps.
Spent 15 mins chasing leaks and then took it for a test drive
Here is the vid ..... Complete with a failed handbrakey at the end .....lol

No more pinging !!!!!
There are some idle control issues and some belt slip though.
So can I tune the second throttle body to sort the idle ?
Does anyone know the best old school way to tune the car ? Especially in combo with the adj Fuel pressure reg ....
Do I just advance it slowly a degree at a time until it starts to ping and then back it off ?
Or do I just set it at 6-7 degrees and not bother ...?
Also the idle screw doesn't seem to do sh*t anymore..... What's that about ?

Just on idle - you've plumbed the ICV into your intake? where exactly? it needs to be pre everything, post air filter for the ICV to still have any effect.
If you've plumbed post first TB, then the idle valve has nothing to work with - it needs to be hooked upto ambient, if you adjust the first preSC TB to be slightly open at idle, then you'll have enough air to work with.
One thing to be aware of is ICVs have a habit of leaking boost- so it would be wise to install a 1-way check valve to your ICV.

I'm not sure I understand......the ICV is plumbed in approx where it was originally, pipe runs from the intake (post intercooler) to the TB bolted to the manifold
the first pre SC TB is a little open, but may need a little more.
wish I could take credit for the welds......but I believe that Nitro Dann did the work

Good point about factory inlet. I can assume that somehow the old afm kept enough airflow to allow the icv to get enough air.
As a test you could run it to ambiant and see if idle returns and the screw does have an effect.
I ran it to ambiant for idle control, but I don't think that is legal??
Actually just thinking about this your ecu controls idle.. Still got the AFM? That links to the ecu for idle control afaik
