I did Murcotts about 10years ago.
I was not disappointed. I certainly gained some skill.... but I'm naturally awesome in a car anyway.

Normally I'd say the annual AROCA/MX5 Vic racecraft training day at Winton but I can't see it on the calendar.
MX5 NSW are holding their next one at Marulan on May 17th.

Really depends what you're looking for.
I've done the Driver Dynamics slide day thing, and it was a really worthwhile day of training to control a sliding car.
But, that's all that that day covered (they do do more indepth courses however)
Trackdays are fun, and are helpful in getting used to feeling the car at it's limit, however they won't really teach you to fix and bad habits, since there's not always someone there to tell you what you're doing wrong.
If you are looking more at defensive driving stuff, instead of the mechanics of car control, then it may be worth asking your insurance company. I seem to recall AAMI used to offer a discount for completing a course.
