Question; when inverted whilst wearing a five point harness, would you not move about an inch or so towards the bar?

I would be surprised if you really are an inch under a BD bar even if you removed the seat and sat on the floor.

You must have a very short torso.

Probably.
but without anything i'd be rubbing my nipples on the road.

I mainly use the bar to carry luggage and large items.

I hear you loud and clear.

Was trying to imagine the forces at play and the amount of movement of the driver in such a horrific event.

I'd rather have the protection of a bar than not.
