I'm still stunned that people can find old laptops with serial ports and still running Windows 95 ----- honestly working and that's not a problem really?

Im sorry I dont understand what you mean with your response.

I myself have 3 laptops at home running windows 95, 98 and XP. Do i use them? No - but why should i sell them? They aren't worth anything and i used to use my xp laptop on my Honda because of it having serial ports. Sometimes old tech does come in handy.

If you need an old laptop for tuning go on eBay/Greys Online you'll be bound to find something.

Yeah I've seen the SC12s go for 300.

I budgeted 1500 for bolt on SC where I can retain air con, includes 2nd TB, bigger injectors, 10psi pulley, MS2 PNP that has been dynoed.

No pics yet as I'm sorting out my IC piping however if you search my posts you will see the kit I bought [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

Yes i was doing that now actually! It looks awesome haha looks like i'll be asking you for ideas and assistance as well.
Currently im bidding on a FMIC kit. The seller sent me more photos of how it was setup looks like he was running everything on a completely standard engine. As the photos of the injectors and exhaust appear to be standard units. With any luck i should have them in my possession this time next week, then the fun begins :)

Just as an idea why not have it set up exactly the same as it was on the previous owners car. Hopefully then you can turn the key and drive it. Then you can put it on a dyno on a dyno day (bang for buck) to see how it's performing. If you think you can improve it from there then carry out other mods. Then get a tune rather then spending $ first up. Also standard fuel pumps are quite good units maybe worth replacing with another oem one. I've done mine recently so it doesn't come down to being stranded somewhere because if it. Fuel pressure regs while not necessarily needed until injectors or fuel pump changes. I changed mine just from a ease for tuners sake. If needed then it's there. I silver soldered some new fittings onto the standard fuel rail for it to sit on. Looks quite neat.

Correct i think this is the best way to go about it. I'll hook everything up and turn the key, if she starts and runs i wont touch it.
I'll just book in 2hrs of tuning (about $300) that should be enough to adjust the baseline map and keep it in drive able condition to suit my engine.
From there i'll decide my next course of action which will be injectors, fuel pump, fuel reg and inter cooler.

Since im able to do the majority of the work it will only ever need to go into the shop for tuning.

Do you have a build thread i'd like to see how you ahve done your reg.
