Which replacement Power Window Switches for NC?

I have a PRHT NC with full saddle tan interior.
The power switch module has faded such that it is a totally different colour from the console, door cards, glovebox etc.
I have noticed the phenomenon on other NCs with saddle tan interiors both soft and hard-tops.

I see on MX5Parts that there are two switch units, one for each roof type & of course the PRHT component is twice the cost of the soft-top.

Q1) Are they in fact interchangeable? I don't min done way or the other about the auto function of the window.

Q2) If not interchangeable, all I really want is the brown plastic surround, not the black switches or the electronics.
What are the chances of being able to fashion a suitable unit from the new softtop switch surround and the original electronics?

If your switches are fine, you could try to match the colour in a plastic dye and repaint the trim!
