I'm back...
I guess I should re introduce myself....I was on this forum what seems like a lifetime ago but became distracted with other stuff and let the obsession fade, although it never quite died and the smile never quite left my face.
I still have Suzi, a 2002 NB who got her name from the Vic number plates she had when I found her in Sydney many many years ago.
I'm in a bit of limbo at the moment as to if we will continue our drive together so I may have to hunt down a couple of locals, see if anyone I knew is still around, and see if I can revive that amazing feeling I used to have when I was enjoying my car...
Cheers
Kim aka Suzi

Re: I'm back...
Hi Kim!
A few of us old regulars are still around, but some no longer have MX's, and probably not on here very much... AJ is driving a 4WD of some sort, Lu has a Jeep, I'm driving a BM (I even did a GC chapter run late last year in the BM), but SPy still has his SP!! And JBT still has his NC of course
Cheers,
Gerard

Re: I'm back...
Welcome back Kim.
Don't post here much these days since it turned into foxtel... ( plenty of content but not much substance ).
Yes i still have my old faded blue SP plus an old farts NC
Still working on my old queenslander, doing as much as i can to save dollars.
I want it finished in the next 12 months before i give up work forever or get shoved out the door first
Most of the folk you used to hang with from the old days you can find on facebook.
Like me it seems they don't want drama from clubs and forums.
Should catch up for a chinwag soonish if you want?
cheers and hugs tez.

Re: I'm back...
Oh yeah, and Tezza
Sorry T, I wasn't sure if Kim was still around when you became involved
I think Jules still checks in here from time to time too. Boags has also sold his MX, but has use of his dads SP, but he doesn't come on here anymore... And Darby is still around, now the GC chapter leader
Perhaps all of us lot should try and organise a catch up down the coast sometime!

Re: I'm back...
Welcome back Kim/Suzi.
As Tezza says there has been a bit of a change in the 'vibe' on the Forum in later times with a deterioration in manners encouraging a lot of long-time members to find other things to do with their time.
Some of us are immune to Jerks however and still find it amusing, although it doesn't have the 'depth' it used to.
More folks making a positive contribution can only be good.
Cheers.

hi all, been an NA MX5 owner for only 12 months, I like the forum, but am a bit inquisitive as to the reference's as to the negative side of the forum and people who are no longer members of the various state MX5 clubs, just wondering why

Re: I'm back...
Thanks for the warm welcome back guys!
It's good to see a few friendlies still here. I had noticed this forum seemed different from the past but it's good it's still here anyway. Started looking for the 'like' button then remembered I need to do this bit by bit.
It would be good to catch up with you guys again and see who I don't know from around here. Maybe a coast catch up is a good idea. I'll see who I can find on the dreaded facebook too and see what we can put together. I promise I'll be gentle with your windscreen Gerard :-)
I'm deciding whether it's time to try driving something else so I think I need a few 'spirited' drives to help with that. Might even get to a club run or two JBT.
