Ebay findings

Postby lizard » Tue Feb 03, 2015 9:56 am

Was looking for a car for daughters BF and came across this

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111588338055?_trksid=p11011.c100176.m3016&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140424094026%26meid%3Deaf3c8f97f9a45b59e1482097726d8ee%26pid%3D100176%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D251810910546&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNARL:AU:3160

OK here is the story so sit back and read on as it explains why the elms are so low and the condition so good.
Basically this car was part of a financial settlement and as such it was hidden in the state of victoria in some one else's name and put in a garage and covered with a heavy duty proper car cover. That was in 2007. The vehicle was accessed every 2nd week and taken for a drive so as to keep everything in ship shape.
In 2010 when the financial settlement was finalised the car suddenly appeared in Sydney again this time in a different garage and in the original persons name but the vehicle was garaged in sydney but registered in Victoria.
In 2010 the car was serviced for its 60000 klm service and the log book was stamped.
In 2012 the owner left for Thailand for 2 years. The car continued to be garaged in Sydney and continued to be "kicked" over once a month and dríven say 40 klm just to keep everything going. No one wanted to drive it far as everyone had their own car and it was a V8 so it continued to stay in the garage in sydney covered in its car cover.
In sept 2014 the old lady who owned the house where the car had been garaged for the past 2 years she decided she wanted to put her car in the garage instead of the car port.
Now this is where i get involved not that i wanted to: however i some how seem to get involved because i get things down.
Well wait for it the owner of the car is my ex husband whom left me 10 years ago and i don't see at all.
I bought this car for my then husband 10 years ago stupid me then he took off in the early hours of the morning to "find" himself.
That was 10 years ago and now he has "found" himself in financial difficulty and living in Thailand with a lady boy.
So long story short ex husband has signed car over to our SON and I will sell it and give the sale of the funds to my son to help towards his HECS fees.
The car is in excellent condition.
If you need additional pics ams me and i will take specific pics for you.
i am not on ebay often best method to contact me is mobile 0497560912 or home 0296540392.
Please respect my privacy and don't call on the land line before 8am or after 8pm.
My mobile is by far the best form of communication.

For the condition would be a good buy, though the V8 is the 3 valve jobbie and not the 4 valve motor in the XR8. Dollars are about right for a Fairlane.

They are a lot of car for the dollars and unlike the euros of the same era are pretty much bullet proof mechanically, and when something does go wrong it is a Falcon after all.

Just be ready to spend your days in a pleather taxi

having said that I would be looking at buying it if I needed a long distance driver, they eat up the miles effortlessly on interstate trips.
