Hi Guys,
Not sure if anyone here has such a build but chasing down info and options, what people are using and why?
So far I'm quite liking the maruha VP header but haven't found anyone whom seems to stock them in Aus Only other options I've found have been maxim works and the RB header.

The choice of header will depend on the build and the only real way to find out is to find a dyno and then test all the headers. For my build the Racing Beat work. Reason, I left Danny/Jason at Automotive Plus decide on the parts that would best suit my goals (and budget).

Was wanting to get an idea of what aussie peeps have used on there builds and what sort of power/compression/cam there running. Curious if they chose the RB for low/mid end power? (pending on where you rev too depends on what mid and low are).
My build:
Custom Weisco ~12:1 Pistons with 21mm wrist pin. (I calculated 12.46:1 but that was using weisco's head measurement as opposed to my own).
3SGTE Rods
3SGTE Oversized Bearings
Modified Crank to Suit Bearings (i.e. tighter tolerances all round) + Achieve thicker bearings.
Modified Head - 5 Angle Valve Job, Blending, Ported and Knife-Edged Intake Ports, Ported and Knife-Edged Exhaust Ports.
Twiggy Cams
Adaptronic e440D
Jenveys will accompany it, just need to find an exhaust manifold and make an adapter to suit

BP engine with 85mm pistons (toda), carillo rods, 11:1 compression, toda 288 deg cams (base circle modified, ramp angles softened) plus other stuff including jenvey ITB's and racing beat exhaust front to rear. First dyno run for 182 RWHP. Tuning on E85 very soon.
Working on mid range by fitting 90mm trumpets and air of to suit. This should give at least 30 hp at 5,500 and an increase in top end. This should be even more with E85!

Save your dollars and just use the RB like everyone else. All the comparo's show <1hp difference between them and anything available off the shelf.

CES (custom exhaust systems) in QLD is used by the race engine builder in Brisbane and seems to be well regarded.

Saw Emillios dyno plot. But figured stock engine etc and perhaps a bit of bias as he stocks and sells the RB header.

CES made an exhaust system for my 800M (supercharged miller cycle engine) and yes they do porn exhaust work!

I think that's the headers I have. 4 to 1 with a big flange on the end? Seems to work very well on my engine. Bought second hand unused from Brisbane for not much.

Ahhh afraid not man. The Racing Beat is a 4-2-1 header, also called a trip y as it has 3 sets of y joins to form the header.

I looked CES the other night. They actually have a header already created for MX5s I'll probably get one of those.
To be fair just for the porn factor would love some spaghetti like keiths targa header.

That's a nice motor build. Please do a thread on the build and dyno results.
Are you running e85 or hoping to manage that comp on 98 due to cam overlap and timing?
What are the cam specs?

Or buy a good bodied na for cheap with a dead engine and chuck your built motor in.
May have less power than the k20 but the cost to you could be 70% less then the total price of the monda.
