After owning a modified s15 for 8 years, I am really happy to get away from a loud exhaust, stiff suspension and a clunky limited slip diff.

A stock car (albeit with a style bar!) is just as the maker intended and is far easier to maintain than a modded car; giving many years of trouble free/hassle free motoring pleasure!

Nothing like jumping in a stocker before sunrise and going for a 400k drive and not worring about not getting home

Interesting on the definition of stock and what affects reliability. My Crystal is modded but i consider her mostly stock. Her main mods are SE suspension, upgraded discs and pads, torsen and roll bar. To many people she looks stock but performs better without sacrificing reliability.

I am in both camps

i have a completely stock one owner 72,000 km 10AE with plastics on the doors! I also have a pretty modified SE.

they both serve very different purposes and both do them well
