Which lube/grease to use during brake pad replacement?
Any recommendations on which lube to use on the slider pins & piston? And which grease on the backing plates?

Piston should be fine as it is, no need to lube unless you've disassembled the caliper.
Slider pin you need a high temperature grease, it's not particularly important what kind, just look on the label for something sutiable for brakes (I use "Sylglide" on mine)
I've never greased backing plates.

x2 Find a brake caliper synthetic grease, not a rubber grease, for the sliders. I never grease the pads or backing plates, it just introduces a risk of contamination.
I've used this one for years with no problems. It's marketed as Sta-lube or CRC, pretty common in auto shops.

Some brake pads will have some slider pin grease included.
The Hawk pads I order direct from Hawk in the States have a couple of little bags of grease for the slider pins in the box.

I've used the Hawk grease. The sliders started binding after a couple of track days.

Repco suppliede with a tube of bendex grease. Can't comment on how well it stands up under track applications though.
