If there is an equivalent brochure for heterosexuals I wonder if they would be portrayed to be as close as this couple are?
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Look like there have been a few iterations of this brochure.

I took this in 2010:

That is "soooo gay!"... tell me who these days, stop on the naturestrip and spread out a massive fold-out map over half the windscreen and half bonnet, all the while appearing to be happy being lost?

G. P. S. device A.K.A your gps maps on your smartphone

The photographer or 'artistic' director should be shot for doing that ...

It also intrigues me that Gay and Lesbians need their own booklet, are they their own species with special interest like Dr Who fans?!

No not really, although some may disagree!
This is possibly one of the most successful advertising campaign from Tourism Tasmania, aimed squarely at the GLBTI market it was rolled out shortly after a landmark court case ending legal discrimination towards that community. Federal laws were changed under guidance from the International Human Rights Commission, overiding the states Anti-Sodomy laws, which carried severe prison sentences.

Tourism Tasmania reached out an olive branch to the GLBTI communities, trying to show a more supportive and understanding state as a real alternative for people to travel and spend their holiday budget.

Funnily enough most of the Apple Isle Tourism campaigns have been run and forgotten, this old chestnut keeps popping up every couple of years for some reason.

P.S. now those Dr Who fans, that is another thing all together! LOL
